CHILD TEMA INVITES THE WORLD’S CHILDREN TO FIGHT TOGETHER AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE
Child TEMA, active in 250 primary schools within Turkey will organize “1st Child TEMA Assembly” on 26-27 May 2005 in Ankara. 160 children will study and discuss the issue of climate change.
Child TEMA will declare and share their solution proposals and their opinions to the public on 27th May, 2005 at 13:30 in Old Turkish National Assembly Building. The wife of the President of the Turkish Republic, Mrs. Semra SEZER will honor the final declaration session of the Assembly. Furthermore TEMA Foundation’s Chairman of Board of Trustees Hayrettin Karaca, Chairman of the Executive Board A.Nihat Gökyiðit will be with Child TEMA during the Assembly.
Within the 1st Child TEMA Assembly, the participants, 160 children from all the 81 provinces of Turkey, will study and discuss the issue of climate change and will give messages to the leaders of our nation and the world on the measures that should be taken in order to solve out this problem that will be effecting their future. Also, they will invite the world’s children to work in cooperation in order to draw the world leaders’ attention to the climate change issue and to convince them to take the necessary actions.
